Over the last few months, we’ve talked about the border crisis quite a bit. That’s not because we’re obsessed with the U.S.-Mexico border. It’s because, regardless of what the MSM says, we are facing a very serious problem down South.
Nearly one million illegal aliens have surged across our border this year. Experts say the number will double by the end of the year. And, as always, the majority of these migrants aren’t “innocent” families just yearning to be free—and Democrats seem to suggest.
Most of them are single, young men—with no proof of identity. The evidence suggests they are working for cartels or criminal groups. On top of that, many coming in are COVID-positive, creating yet another problem.
There is no room to put these people anywhere, yet they’re still coming. Biden has resorted to bussing and flying them to all corners of the country. Meaning, this crisis could hurt every community in America. Still, Biden refuses to implement policies to deport illegals and secure the border.
So, top Republicans have wheeled out the big “I” word.
Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) called for Democrat President Joe Biden and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to both be impeached on Monday, citing the administration’s continually worsening border crisis…
“What Joe Biden is doing at our border is impeachable,” Jesse Kelly, a political commentator, responded. “It’s more impeachable than Watergate. This is an attack on the sovereignty of America and it’s coming from the Oval Office. Republicans should move to impeach after 2022.”
Roy responded to Kelly’s tweet by writing: “Co-sponsor. #ImpeachBiden #ImpeachMayorkas” [Source: Daily Wire]
Roy cited some very dark numbers. Just in July, 205,029 illegals were apprehended at the border. Around 37,000 got away from Border Patrol. We’ve hit 1.3 million for the fiscal year, so far. Roy explained that both Biden and DHS head Mayorkas have “blatantly” refused to carry out their duties to secure our border and uphold our immigration laws.
He accused them of “endangering countless American and foreign lives in the process.”
Is that an impeachable offense? Hell, thanks to the Democrats, what isn’t?
Democrats weaponized impeachment to persecute their political enemies. Should Republicans regain Congress in 2022, what would stop them from impeaching Biden?
They would have a very good reason to, given this border crisis. The border was under control just a year ago. Donald Trump’s policies were preventing millions of illegals from flooding our country. Biden was the one to erased all that progress, directly creating the problem we have now.
And Biden continues to ignore what is going on, giving lip service to it months ago by appointing Kamala Harris to oversee it. Not once since then has the man bothered to look into it himself, suggesting neglect of duty.
After the 2022 midterms, should Republicans gain enough seats in Congress, an impeachment probe is possible. Would they be able to remove Biden from office? We can’t say for sure. But such a move would put pressure on the administration to actually do something about the crisis.
The problem is, of course, we can’t wait that long.
