A Georgia poll done by SurveyUSA on voters who won’t show up for next week’s elections has discovered that 55% of them who say they are “very conservative” say they believe the election is “rigged” and that is why they won’t be voting. Which is a worrying sign for the GOP in keeping control of the U.S. Senate.
GOP Senators Perdue and Loeffler will battle DNC challengers Ossoff and Warnock on Jan 5th. If Republicans lose, the Senate will flip to the Democrats. Which means the left would control everything.
SurveyUSA noted that Georgia is chaotic and no one could say what will happen.
Meanwhile the NY Times says the GOP is fearing for the runoffs as numbers indicate a strong showing In DNC strongholds. Pointing to Walker County, where Trump beat Biden with a 79% ballot base. But as of Wednesday, turnout “was only 47 percent” of the election total.
President Trump has campaigned for Perdue and Loeffler. He encouraged conservatives to show up in the runoffs, and has criticized the state’s GOP Gov. Brian Kemp for not doing enough to fight voter fraud in the state.
While earlier this month, pro-Trump lawyers Lin Wood and Sidney Powell took the unusual step during a Republican rally to urge Georgia conservatives to boycott the runoffs, unless officials made changes to protect the election process.
If this poll is accurate, that statement might have convinced some voters. The pollster even found that 7% of very conservative voters admit they are ‘boycotting the runoffs.’
