Pelosi And Biden Finally Face The Consequences — And They Could Be Deadly

A spokesman for House Speaker Pelosi tested positive this week for covid after a meeting last week with Texas Democrats who left the state for Washington, D.C.

Drew Hammill, an aide to Pelosi, revealed the unidentified staffer was completely vaccinated and did not have recent contact with Pelosi, though her office is taking added precautions because of these findings.

“Yesterday, a vaccinated top spokesperson in Pelosi’s press office was positive for coronavirus after contact with members of the Texas Democrats,” Hammill said in a comment.

“This person has had no contact with Nancy Pelosi since exposure. The whole press office is working remotely right now with the exception of people who had no exposure to the person or have had a recently negative covid test. Our office will keep following the recommendations of the Office of Attending Physician.”

This Tuesday, Pelosi and her staffers were seen using masks at the Capitol. After loosening mask rules by the Capitol doctor, many lawmakers have chosen to not wear masks in recent weeks.

Asked about her coronavirus positive staffer this Tuesday, Pelosi responded: “I am sorry he has it. All the more reason for us all to be vaccinated as he was. Take all precautions.”

She said any choice to bring masks back in the House “will be up to the Capitol doctor.”

Separately, Axios reported that a Biden Admin. official also was positive for covid after going to the same rooftop reception in D.C. as the Pelosi staffer did last week. The White House staffer was also completely vaccinated and had mild symptoms.

A Biden Admin. official has confirmed to us that the staffer tested positive for covid this week outside White House grounds and has stayed off site, awaiting a PCR test. The medical unit performed contact tracing and determined this staffer was not in “close contacts with White House staffers and principals.”

“We understand that breakthrough cases will happen, but as this example shows, cases involving vaccinated people are usually mild,” a White House official said. “The White House is working to prepare for breakthrough cases using regular testing. This is yet more reminder of the efficiency of the covid vaccines against severe cases or hospitalization. We wish our friend a speedy recovery.”
