New York Mayor Blasted for Tweet After Horrific Shooting

By now, you probably know about the terrible shooting that took place in a New York subway. A 62-year-old black man by the name of Frank James allegedly opened fire on passengers of an N train. He shoot ten with nineteen more injured. Liberal media outlets are being silent about James’ motives, who based on social media posts is a racist.

The aftermath of this shooting will change the city for years to come. Even as New York came out of brutal lockdowns, commuters now fear danger while trying to get to work. The city is considering greater restrictions to privacy and personal freedom, in searching bags before people board a train. It’s a nightmare, to say the least. But the mayor’s office is getting blasted for a foolish and poorly-timed tweet.

Roughly 13 hours after a man fired numerous gun shots inside an “N” line subway car at a New York City subway station causing serious injuries to 10 people on Tuesday, the Twitter account of the New York City’s Mayors Office posted a video of a subway arriving at a station, captioning the photo, “Greatest city in the world.”…

“Y’all have some nerve tweeting this…

READ THE ROOM

OMG this is so cringy. The suspect that shot up the subway is still on the loose. Who approved this tweet?

Are you sure about that after today’s shooting?

Are you kidding me??”

Wow. You really have to wonder what the mayor’s office was thinking, posting this tweet. Perhaps it had been planned before the shooting, the typical kind of propaganda a politician’s office would post. But after a man just attempted to kill a train full of people, now is not the time to say this. Maybe, just maybe, the mayor’s office can stay silent online at a time like this?

There’s no need to post to Twitter, while the city is mourning this horrible crime. At the very least, post something considerate to the victims and their families. Vow to bring this criminal to justice. Whatever you do, don’t post a tone-deaf video about how great the subway trains are. (As a side note, if you want to express how “great” New York is, perhaps avoid talking about the disgusting subway?)

The mayor hasn’t been handling this issue very well to begin with. Instead of vowing justice and making New York safe, he passed the buck saying this is a larger issue. “We’re facing a problem that is hitting our entire nation right now and that is why this is a national response.”

Uh, no, Eric. This is not a “national issue.” This is a Democrat issue. Idiot Democrats defunded police and let criminals out into the streets. They lowered penalties for a variety of crimes, emboldening violent criminals. We shouldn’t be surprised this happened in a liberal-run New York, where crime isn’t punished.
