How far will disgraced New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo go to cover up his mountain of scandals? Apparently, this far.
Just a year ago, the liberal media was praising Cuomo for his incredible “leadership” during the pandemic. But as 2021 unfolded, Cuomo was exposed for a variety of shocking and unacceptable scandals. The man covered up the number of residents dying in nursing homes, sparking a federal investigation.
Meanwhile, woman after woman came out to accuse him of sexual harassment. The state is currently conducting an impeachment probe against him.
So, how does an embattled and unpopular governor fix his reputation? By forcing New Yorkers to get vaccinated, of course.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) on Monday said it is the community’s mission to get more people vaccinated, previewing his administration’s desire to knock on doors, put unvaccinated people in cars, and drive them to “get that vaccine in their arm.”…
“I wear a mask because I care about you. I get a vaccine because I care about you,” Cuomo said, framing compliance to various methods of government coercion as an expression of selflessness…
“And we have to get in those communities, and we have to knock on those doors, and we have to convince people, and put them in a car and drive them and get that vaccine in their arm. That is the mission,” the Democrat mayor said during Monday’s press conference. [Source: Breitbart]
At this point, the COVID vaccines have been widely available for months. Anyone who wanted to get one, has gotten one. So, why does Cuomo—and other Democrats for that matter—think he needs to force people to go get vaccinated?
Cuomo claims these people must be poor, underprivileged, and black. People he thinks can’t get into a car or on a bus or even walk down to a local pharmacy. He must assume they haven’t gotten the vaccine because they are too poor to even leave their homes (this is what he thinks of minorities, I guess). Cuomo must think black New Yorkers are mistrustful of the government, so they don’t want to get the vaccine.
So, what’s his solution? Using the government to force these people to get the vaccine. How brilliant!
What better way to instill confidence in a group of people mistrustful of the government, by demanding they obey him.
Really, you can’t make this stuff up. And we shouldn’t forget this is the same governor just a few steps away from being impeached and thrown out of office. What does he think this campaign is going to accomplished? If he is successful in coercing New Yorkers into getting jabbed, will that save his career?
It doesn’t matter how many unwilling residents he gets vaccinated, it won’t un-harass those women. And it can’t cover up the fact he deliberately caused the death of thousands of New Yorkers, because of his own orders.
But an aggressive campaign led by the government—that will win over Americans!
