Joe Biden had made it very clear during the election that he would attack the fossil fuel industry. He even admitted that he’d get rid of oil and other sources of energy. Despite this, many labor unions supported him through the campaign.
Yet now, suddenly people are surprised this “moderate” has been killing energy jobs left and right. With a few strokes of the pen, Joe Biden has destroyed tens of thousands of jobs—and deprived the U.S. economy of billions.
Very quickly, labor unions turned on their president.
Unions routinely support Democrats, giving hundreds of millions to candidates each election cycle, but Biden’s move drew some fierce criticism.
“In revoking this permit, the Biden Administration has chosen to listen to the voices of fringe activists instead of union members and the American consumer on Day 1,” Mark McManus, general president of the United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters (UA), said Monday. But it’s just not union leaders who will feel the pain of Biden’s extreme policies. We all will soon be feeling it, when gas and energy prices skyrocket across the country. Guess who this will all fall back on? Democrats who want a foothold in states that rely on energy jobs. Already Republicans are going after them.
Republicans are beginning to take aim at vulnerable Democrats in states like Texas, Virginia and Pennsylvania, where many jobs depend on oil or natural gas.
Pennsylvania Democratic Reps. Susan Wild, Conor Lamb and Matt Cartwright, Virginia Democratic Rep. Elaine Luria and Texas Democratic Reps. Henry Cuellar, Colin Allred and Filemon Vela all voted for a return to the Paris Climate Agreement, which many economists say will be bad for U.S. businesses. [Source: Just the News]
Democrats will have a hard time explaining to families who now can’t put food on the table why these policies were the right idea. Biden’s idiotic administration gives vague promises that “more jobs” in energy will be created through these policies. Really, how? Oh, they don’t explain.
And neither do they explain how former oil and coal workers can just instantly switch fields to get jobs in “clean” energy. Does a hippie startup in San Francisco that employs wimpy Millennials want to hire blue-collar roughnecks in PA or TX? You know the answer to that.
Joe Biden, like his predecessor Obama, is killing jobs without a hint of remorse. But it’s not because he’s so in love with left-wing extremists. It’s because he doesn’t want America competitive with China, Russia, and other world leaders. America can’t be a leader in energy production, if the globalists want to make a fraction of a percent more money.
So, Biden will kill as many jobs in this country as he can, so that foreign nations can get a little bit richer.
