Democrats’ Texas Takeover Is Not Going As Well As They Thought

Despite losing two highly visible elections in just the last few years, Francis “Beto” O’Rourke thought it would be a good idea to run for Texas governor. Let’s take a look at some of his policies, shall we? The far-left Democrat promised to confiscate America’s AR-15s while running for president. He vowed to tear down Trump’s border wall, even as illegal aliens flood Texas.

And he threatened to strip away churches’ tax-exempt status if they didn’t embrace LGBT causes.

Gee, do you think this guy has a snowball’s chance in hell for winning Texas governor? You have to wonder why the Democrats even let this guy show his face, anymore. Not even Joe Biden wanted him in his administration—and it’s full of losers! But if O’Rourke hasn’t seen the light yet, maybe this poll will help him out.

A new Quinnipiac University poll shows Texas GOP Governor Greg Abbott absolutely crushing gubernatorial Democratic candidate Beto O’Rourke among registered voters by a whopping 15 points, 52%-37%.

Quinnipiac University Polling Analyst Tim Malloy pointed out, “How far behind is Beto O’Rourke? 15 points is more than your typical two touchdown deficit in football and an even bigger hole in the game of politics.” [Source: Breitbart]

This is pretty bad. In nearly every question asked, O’Rourke is losing to Abbott, often by double digits. Voters prefer Abbott’s honesty, leadership ability, stance on the economy, and the border. They don’t trust O’Rourke on any issue posed to them. It seems the people of Texas don’t even want him to do their dishes, let alone run the state.

This election will be crucial for the future of the Lone Star State. Democrats have been fighting for years to flip this red state blue. In recent years, however, it seems to be becoming more red, not less. Democrats are even losing Hispanic-majority areas near the border, as Biden fails to prevent illegals from entering.

But if Democrats managed to get a far-left socialist like O’Rourke into office, all bets are off. The man would push radical policies that would tank Texas’ cherished status as pro-business and pro-workers. Companies (and people) have been fleeing California and other states to move to Texas. That’s primarily because Texas has lower taxes, a lower cost of living, and far fewer restrictions on Americans’ freedoms.

That will all go away if someone like O’Rourke becomes governor. Texas will turn into California faster than you can blink. In fact, a radical like O’Rourke would make it worse than California, since he’s not only a leftist, but a very bad leader to boot.

If Democrats were smart, they’d have searched for a moderate candidate who might possibly win over some Republicans and independents. But it seems O’Rourke will most likely get the nomination, guaranteeing their loss. Seems like Democrats aren’t nearly as smart as they think they are.
