Democrats Bribe Unemployed Freeloaders With Taxpayer-Funded Cash

They say when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. The same can be said of Democrats: when there is a problem, all they are willing to do is spend money on it.

When they thought people couldn’t find jobs due to their own mandated lockdowns, they shelled out welfare checks and unemployment. Biden did this so aggressively–just as states were reopening–that he ended up paying people to stay home.

Republican-run states realized how terrible this was, so they made the obvious decision. They ended the federal unemployment handouts to encourage people to get off their asses and go back to work. Already, states like Florida, Texas, and others are seeing a positive change.

Are Democrat states doing the same? Nope! Instead, they are giving tax dollars to out-of-work citizens, in a pathetic attempt to bribe them into getting a job.

Maine’s Democrat Gov. Janet Mills announced the “Back To Work” program Monday, which will give people who join the workforce a one-time payment, administered by the state’s Department of Labor and the Department of Economic and Community Development…

The state’s program will be providing the employers the funds to give a “one-time $1,500 payment for eligible workers who start jobs between June 15 and June 30.” People who start a job in July will be receiving “a $1,000 payment for eligible workers” to help “encourage unemployed Maine people to return to the workforce.”…

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) said, “In Arizona, we’re going to use federal money to encourage people to work instead of paying people not to work,” when referring to this type of program. [Source: Breitbart]

Uh, am I taking crazy pills or are these Democrat governors? States like Colorado, Arizona, and Maine are giving out checks to people who go back to work.

Call me crazy, but isn’t the point of getting a job to earn a paycheck? Why do these Democrat governors think they need to spend federal funds to bribe these idiots off the couch?

And how are they going to stop these people from taking the free money—and just quitting the next day?

Businesses have reported that people were getting jobs and not showing up before this started. What’s going to stop them doing that now?

You know what’s a good incentive for getting a job? Not having any money! Take away the unemployment and demand residents go looking for work. Stop trying to incentive laziness, sloth, and government dependance.

Democrats don’t seem to understand that. They have drunken the Marxist Kool-Aid and have no intentions on going back. From here on forward, all their ideas will come out of the Communist Manifesto.

Even ones as stupid as paying people to get jobs that will pay them anyway.

Can you hear the circus music? Because I can.
