Conservative State Strikes Back Against Biden’s Radical New Policies

Democrats have long used tragedy to push their agenda. It’s as if, nobody wants Democrats to do anything, until they are emotionally manipulated to do so.

So, it should come as no surprise that the left jumps on any news of gun violence to forward their gun control agenda.

(Conveniently, though, they rarely talk about gun violence coming from cities that already have strict gun laws. I wonder why?)

Recently, Biden has pushed Congress to pass significantly strict gun laws. He wants to ban “assault rifles,” put limits on magazine capacity, and make it much harder for law-abiding citizens to buy or sell firearms. Knowing, though, how ineffective Congress can be, the White House jumped the gun and pushed for new measures via the DOJ.

Numerous conservative states have vowed to push back against Biden’s assault on our Second Amendment rights. Texas is exploring legislation to make the state into a “Second Amendment sanctuary.” But it looks like Nebraska beat them to it.

Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts has signed a proclamation declaring his state a “Second Amendment Sanctuary State.”

“Nebraska has always been a state that has supported our Second Amendment rights. As a symbol of that support, today I am signing a proclamation to declare Nebraska a Second Amendment Sanctuary State,” the Republican governor said in a video.

“The White House and U.S. Congress have announced their intention to pursue measures that would infringe on the right to keep and bear arms,” part of the proclamation states. “Nebraska will stand up against federal overreach and attempts to regulate gun ownership and use in the Good Life,” another section of the proclamation states. A sanctuary for the Second Amendment is pretty much what it sounds like. Some states are “sanctuaries” for illegal aliens, meaning the state will not comply with federal law in reporting criminal aliens to ICE. In a similar fashion, Second Amendment sanctuaries are states that will not enforce new federal gun control laws.

The only difference, of course, is the right to bear arms is protected by our Constitution. Protecting criminal illegal aliens? Not so much.

It’s unclear just what this proclamation can do, should new gun control laws be passed in D.C. A proclamation is significant, but it is not the same as legislation. If Nebraska wants something more permanent, the state legislature will have to pass something for Gov. Ricketts to sign. Chances are, this statement will be the first step in motivating lawmakers to get something done.

This proclamation can also serve as motivation for other states to join the fight. As news spreads, residents elsewhere could demand their leaders to follow Ricketts’ footsteps and create their own Second Amendment sanctuary policies. Biden and the left might pass new restrictions anytime soon. Getting a policy that protects citizens now is vital.

Because sooner or later, Biden is coming for America’s guns.
