Bolton Pleads Guilty on Classified Docs — Schiff and Raskin Suddenly Lose Their Voices

John Bolton, the mustachioed backstabber who spent years trying to put Donald Trump behind bars over classified documents, just pleaded guilty to one felony count of retaining sensitive national security information. The former National Security Adviser is now facing up to five years in federal prison and approximately $2 million in fines. Somewhere, karma is sipping champagne.

Funny how that works.

The plea deal was announced Thursday, June 4, 2026, and the silence from the left has been deafening. Remember when classified documents were the greatest threat to American democracy since the Confederacy? Remember when every cable news panel spent hours debating whether Trump should rot in prison for having papers at Mar-a-Lago? Those same people can't find their microphones today.

Sen. Adam Schiff, who never met a camera he didn't love, had plenty to say back in August 2025 when Bolton was first charged. "This is clearly retribution," Schiff whined. "I mean, the idea that they just picked John Bolton, a prominent critic of the president, at random? It's not about Bolton, per se." Got it, Adam. When Trump has documents, it's a constitutional crisis. When your favorite anti-Trump Republican has documents, it's "retribution."

Sen. Jamie Raskin was even worse. In October 2025, Raskin told CNN that "the only reason Bolton is being prosecuted is because he criticized and insulted Trump." Nothing to do with the classified national security information he illegally retained. Nope. Pure political persecution.

Here's the part that makes this whole thing chef's-kiss perfect. As Twitchy reported, Bolton himself — back in June 2023 — looked into a camera and asked about Trump: "If the government can prove what they allege here, shouldn't this man go to jail?" Well, John, the government just proved what they alleged about you, and you folded like a cheap lawn chair with a guilty plea. So by your own standard — yes.

The investigation, it's worth noting, started under the Biden administration. Not under Trump. Not as some revenge operation. Biden's own DOJ looked at Bolton and said, "Yeah, this guy broke the law." That little detail makes every "political persecution" shriek from Schiff and Raskin age like milk in July.

This is what accountability actually looks like. Not the weaponized, selective kind that Democrats perfected during the Trump years — the real kind, where the law applies to everybody, even the guys who write bestselling books trashing the president.

Bolton wanted Trump jailed over documents. Now Bolton is pleading guilty over documents. The irony doesn't just write itself — it types, formats, and hits publish.
