Stevie Wonder Has A Special Message For White Americans

Jesse Jackson spent decades building bridges — or at least, that’s what the eulogies kept telling us. So naturally, the best way to honor the man was to turn his funeral into a greatest hits album of leftist grievance politics, complete with a blind legend pointing fingers at an entire race of people.

Welcome to the Democrat Party’s version of a homecoming.

Stevie Wonder — the guy who gave us “Isn’t She Lovely” and enough Motown magic to last a lifetime — stepped up to the mic at Reverend Jesse Jackson’s public funeral on Friday and decided the moment called for something a little less lovely.

“It is you, and you know who you are,” Wonder lectured the crowd. “You need to overcome hate. You need to overcome the mindset of white supremacy…You shall overcome the need to dominate every single country and its people.”

There it is. A funeral. For a man whose own son was reportedly furious about what happened to his father’s memorial. And Stevie Wonder turned it into a scolding session aimed at white Americans.

Now look — nobody disputes that Wonder loved Jesse Jackson. He said so himself. “Rev. Jackson and I had a long and strong history,” he told the crowd. “It was personal and political. We were able to love each other and support each other through the good and the bad. I knew his heart, I respected his mind, and trusted his soul.”

Beautiful. Genuinely moving. And then he torched it.

Because apparently “celebrating a man’s life” and “accusing a racial group of needing to overcome white supremacy” are the same thing now in Democrat circles. You’d think someone in the greenroom might have said, “Hey Stevie, maybe today isn’t the day.” But no. The show must go on — and the show, as always with these people, is pointing at half the country and calling them the enemy.

And Wonder wasn’t alone at this roast-disguised-as-a-funeral. Barack Obama climbed the podium to remind everyone that white people and Republicans exist solely to make Americans “turn on each other.” Joe Biden shuffled up to the stage — bless his heart — apparently to demonstrate that you can be the smartest man in the room and still not know what room you’re in. Kamala Harris spoke too, which, honestly, tracks.

This wasn’t a memorial. It was a political yard sale.

Meanwhile, the one guy they were all clearly swinging at? Donald Trump sent nothing but respect.

“I knew him well, long before becoming President,” Trump wrote. “He was a good man, with lots of personality, grit, and ‘street smarts.’ He was very gregarious — Someone who truly loved people!”

And then Trump went further:

“Jesse was a force of nature like few others before him. He had much to do with the Election, without acknowledgment or credit, of Barack Hussein Obama, a man who Jesse could not stand. He loved his family greatly, and to them I send my deepest sympathies and condolences. Jesse will be missed!”

Classy. Warm. Even a little cheeky — only Trump can slip “a man who Jesse could not stand” into a condolence message and somehow make it work.

But here’s the thing that should stick with you: Jesse Jackson’s own son was miffed. His family watched the Democrats transform a man’s final farewell into an anti-Trump rally and a white-guilt lecture. That’s what the modern left does — it can’t even let the dead rest without mining the moment for outrage points.

Stevie Wonder has a gift that most people will never have. Too bad he used it Friday to sing from the Democrat hymnal instead of from his heart.

Jackson deserved better. His family deserved better. And frankly, so did we.
