Four Women Accuse a Democrat Congressional Candidate of Sexual Harassment — And the ‘Believe All Women’ Crowd Suddenly Lost Their Vocal Cords

A Democratic candidate for Congress — one who built her entire campaign around being a proud lesbian Latina, because apparently those are qualifications now — has just been accused by four separate women of unwanted sexual advances. Not one. Not two. Not “an anonymous source familiar with the matter.” Four women, on the record, saying this candidate made them deeply uncomfortable with aggressive, uninvited physical contact. And if you listen very carefully, you can hear the exact sound of the progressive movement pretending this story doesn’t exist.

I swear, if hypocrisy were an Olympic sport, the Democratic Party would have more gold medals than Michael Phelps. These are the same people who told us Brett Kavanaugh should be disqualified from the Supreme Court based on a single allegation from 35 years ago with zero corroborating witnesses. But four women accuse one of their own? Crickets. Tumbleweeds. A silence so loud it has its own echo.

Let’s talk about what we know. This candidate didn’t just run as a Democrat — she ran as THE Democrat. The identity-politics dream candidate. Every press release, every campaign flyer, every fawning local news profile led with the identity. “First lesbian Latina to run for this seat.” “Making history as a queer woman of color.” The campaign wasn’t about policy. It wasn’t about the district’s crumbling roads or failing schools. It was about checking boxes. And the progressive media ate it up like a Golden Corral buffet on a Sunday afternoon.

Now four women — women who actually know this candidate, who interacted with her in professional and political settings — are saying she crossed lines. Unwanted advances. The kind of behavior that, if a Republican man were accused of it, would have his name trending on Twitter within 11 minutes and a CNN countdown clock tracking the hours until his resignation.

But see, that’s the thing about “Believe All Women.” It was never really about believing all women. It was about believing women when their stories were politically useful. When Christine Blasey Ford came forward about Kavanaugh, she was a hero. A brave survivor. Congressional Democrats literally flew her to Washington, gave her a microphone, and treated her testimony like scripture. When Tara Reade accused Joe Biden? Well, suddenly the standard changed. Suddenly we needed “due process” and “context” and “a fuller picture.” Funny how elastic those principles are.

And now we’ve got four accusers — FOUR — pointing the finger at a Democrat candidate, and the silence from the Left is the most predictable thing to happen since the sun came up this morning.

Here’s what I need you to understand about why this matters beyond just the hypocrisy, which is admittedly spectacular. This is what happens when you build a political movement entirely around identity instead of character. When the only thing that matters about a candidate is what categories they check off on a diversity form, you stop vetting for the stuff that actually matters — like whether they’re a decent human being who respects other people’s boundaries.

The progressive movement created a system where being the “right” identity makes you bulletproof. You’re not just a candidate anymore — you’re a *symbol*. And symbols can’t have flaws. So when the flaws show up anyway, because they always do because we’re all human, the machine doesn’t know what to do. It can’t process the error. A lesbian Latina candidate can’t be a harasser because that would break the narrative. So the narrative just… ignores it.

Meanwhile, if you’re a conservative, you don’t get that luxury. A Republican congressman gets accused of sending a flirty text message and it’s wall-to-wall coverage for a week. Calls for resignation. Ethics investigations. Think pieces about “the culture of toxic masculinity in the GOP.” But a Democrat with four accusers? The same outlets that would be demanding scalps are suddenly very interested in other stories. “Oh look, a squirrel! Let’s talk about that instead.”

I want to be clear about something — I’m not prejudging this candidate’s guilt. Due process matters, and it matters for everyone, even Democrats. That’s the difference between us and them. We actually believe in consistent principles. What I AM saying is that the reaction — or complete lack thereof — tells you everything you need to know about the Left’s relationship with the truth. They don’t have principles. They have preferences. And their preference is to protect their own at all costs.

Four women came forward. That takes guts. It takes guts regardless of who you’re accusing, but it takes a special kind of courage to accuse someone the progressive machine has already designated as a protected class hero. These women know they’re going to get attacked. They know the online mob is going to come for them. They know the same feminists who championed the #MeToo movement are going to call them liars, opportunists, or worse — tools of the right wing.

And that’s the saddest part of this whole thing. The movement that was supposed to protect women — the movement that told us to “believe all women” — is about to eat four of them alive because they had the audacity to accuse the wrong person.

So here’s my question for every progressive activist, every feminist commentator, every blue-check journalist who spent 2018 telling us that women never lie about sexual harassment: where are you? Four women are waiting. The microphone is on. The cameras are rolling.

Or does “Believe All Women” come with an asterisk now?
