Florida Just Locked In Four New Republican Seats and Democrats Had a Full Meltdown With a Bullhorn — Total Victory

The Florida state legislature just finalized the new congressional maps, and Republicans are picking up an estimated four additional U.S. House seats. The House passed it 83-28. The Senate passed it 21-17. Governor DeSantis is signing it into law.

It’s done. Sealed. Official. And Democrats are absolutely losing their minds over it.

During the House vote, Florida Democratic Rep. Angie Nixon literally stormed the aisle with a bullhorn. A bullhorn! Inside the state legislature! Apparently, when you can’t win with votes, you try to win with volume. Spoiler alert: that didn’t work either.

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries — who DeSantis accurately described as a “machine politician” (though we prefer the internet’s nickname: “Temu Obama”) — tried to threaten Florida with consequences. Ooooh, scary. DeSantis responded by saying he would not be “cowed by threats from some machine politician.”

Translation: sit down, Hakeem.

This is what winning looks like, folks. Four new Republican seats in the U.S. House, locked in for the next election cycle. Democrats threw every legal challenge they could find at these maps. They screamed about gerrymandering. They filed lawsuits. They brought out the bullhorns. And they lost. Every. Single. Time.

Now, we should pause here to appreciate the sheer audacity of Democrats crying about redistricting. These are the same people who just tried to draw a 10-1 congressional map in Virginia — that’s ten Democrat seats to one Republican seat — and only got stopped because state courts intervened. Obama himself crawled out of whatever seaside mansion he’s living in these days to help rig those Virginia maps.

But when Florida draws maps that are favorable to Republicans? Suddenly it’s an “assault on democracy.” The self-awareness is at absolute zero with these people.

The Supreme Court also just gave a green light to the Texas redistricting maps after lower courts tried to block them. And a recent Supreme Court ruling narrowed Section II of the Voting Rights Act, which means similar redistricting victories could be coming across Southern states. The legal framework that Democrats have been hiding behind to protect their gerrymandered seats in blue states? It’s crumbling.

DeSantis keeps stacking wins in Florida, and the national Democratic Party keeps throwing tantrums about it. Remember when they said DeSantis was “finished” after the 2024 primary? The man is governing a state that’s become the model for Republican governance nationwide. Low taxes, population growth, economic freedom — and now, congressional maps that reflect the actual political reality of a state that voted for Trump by double digits.

Four seats. That’s not a minor adjustment. That could be the difference between holding the House and losing it in 2026. Democrats know this, which is exactly why Angie Nixon brought a bullhorn to a legislative session. When you’re watching your minority status become permanent, apparently you just start screaming.

Here’s what we know: the maps are final, the courts have backed off, and DeSantis is putting pen to paper. No more challenges. No more delays. No more tantrums from Temu Obama.

Florida just delivered four more seats to the Republican majority, and all the Democrats got was a sore throat from the bullhorn. Total victory. We love to see it.
