Even Her Own Party Won’t Return Kamala’s Calls — And Mark Cuban Just Twisted the Knife

Kamala Harris is “thinking about” running for president again in 2028, and the response from her own party has been roughly the same enthusiasm you’d show a coworker who announces they’re training for another marathon after finishing dead last in the first one.

Democrats are tripping over each other trying to NOT endorse her — and these are the same people who told us she was the most qualified candidate in American history eighteen months ago. Funny how that works.

Let’s start with Mark Cuban, the billionaire who spent 2024 practically tattooing Kamala’s name on his forehead. This guy did rally appearances. He went on every cable news show that would have him. He was the unofficial “rich guy who validates your candidate” spokesperson for the entire Harris campaign.

So when Politico asked Cuban last week if he wants to see Harris run in 2028, you’d expect at least a diplomatic “well, let’s see how things develop” kind of answer, right?

Nope. Cuban said “no.”

Then they asked him what Kamala’s message on health care was during the campaign. His response? “Don’t remember, don’t care.” He added, “Those days are gone.”

(That’s the sound of a billionaire scraping a bumper sticker off his Tesla.)

But Cuban’s betrayal is just the appetizer. The main course is watching sitting Democratic senators and congressmen perform Olympic-level gymnastics to avoid saying her name.

Adam Schiff — pencil-neck Adam Schiff, the guy from her own state of California — was asked about Harris running in 2028. His endorsement? “That’s her decision.” That’s it. Four words. That’s the political equivalent of responding to a wedding invitation with “noted.”

Elizabeth Warren, who never shuts up about anything, suddenly discovered the art of brevity. “I’m so focused on 2026, I’m just not there. I don’t have any thoughts about 2028.” Elizabeth Warren has no thoughts? About anything? We’re supposed to believe that the woman who has a plan for everything — a plan for your toaster, a plan for your dog’s dental hygiene — has zero opinions about who should lead the party?

Please.

Then there’s Rep. Troy Carter from Louisiana. This man was a ride-or-die Harris supporter in 2024. Stumped for her. Vouched for her. Went to bat publicly. Asked about 2028? “I can’t support anybody right now. It’s way too early. We’ve got to see what the field offers.”

Translation: “I’d rather eat a bowl of glass than do that again.”

And those are the Democrats willing to go on the record. The anonymous ones are even more brutal. One House Democrat told reporters that Harris should’ve just run for governor of California instead. Another said — and we’re paraphrasing here — that sure, she’s got name recognition, but is she actually good for the party?

Wow. When your own teammates are anonymously telling reporters you’re bad for business, you’re not a frontrunner. You’re a cautionary tale.

Here’s the part we’re all enjoying: the 2024 Democratic primary never actually happened. Joe Biden’s brain finally buffered one too many times, the party panicked, and they just installed Kamala like a software update nobody asked for. No debate. No town halls. No voters. Just “congratulations, you’re the nominee, please try not to cackle on camera.”

And now the people who skipped the primary process are shocked — SHOCKED — that their handpicked candidate turned out to be a dud. We tried to warn them. We’ve been warning them since she dropped out of the 2020 primary before a single vote was cast because even Democrats couldn’t stand her.

But no, we were told she was historic. Groundbreaking. The most important vice president since… well, they never finished that sentence, did they?

Meanwhile, the 2028 field is already circling like vultures. Gavin Newsom, who couldn’t keep the lights on in California. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who thinks the economy runs on vibes and Instagram stories. Pete Buttigieg, who spent four years as Transportation Secretary watching trains derail. And Josh Shapiro, who’s basically the only one in the bunch with a functioning approval rating.

This is the Democratic bench, folks. This is what they’ve got.

The best part? Harris still leads in the early 2028 polls. She’s the frontrunner of a party that doesn’t want her, leading a field of candidates who can’t beat her, in a race she already lost once. It’s like watching a rerun of a show that got cancelled — except the network keeps pretending it’s new programming.

We should be sending thank-you cards. Every day Kamala Harris stays in the 2028 conversation is another day the Democratic Party isn’t rebuilding, isn’t finding someone competent, and isn’t threatening to win anything. She’s the best thing that ever happened to the Republican Party, and her own donors just confirmed it.

Keep running, Kamala. We’re rooting for you.
