Richard Blumenthal — the same man who lied about serving in Vietnam — stood before cameras this weekend and told the American people that ICE agents deployed to airports would start gunning down families in terminal hallways.
Read that again. A sitting United States Senator looked into the lens and said federal officers would shoot and kill travelers at the airport.
Not metaphorically. Not “I’m worried about escalation.” He said shooting. And killing. At baggage claim, presumably somewhere between the Cinnabon and Gate B12.
How We Got Here
Let’s rewind the tape, because the context makes this even more absurd. Democrats in the Senate have repeatedly blocked funding for the Department of Homeland Security. On Friday, they did it again — torpedoing funding for DHS and the TSA like it was sport.
The result? Hundreds of TSA agents quit after missing paychecks. Major airports across the country turned into holding pens. Travelers waited in security lines for up to five hours. People missed flights. Families sat on dirty terminal floors with screaming kids while Democrats high-fived each other for “resisting.”
So Trump did what Trump does — he skipped the bureaucratic hand-wringing and went straight to the toolbox.
“The Radical Left Democrats have hurt so many people with their vicious and uncaring ways. What they have done to the Department of Homeland Security, our fantastic TSA Officers, and, most importantly, the great people of our Country, is an absolute disgrace,” Trump said.
He announced ICE agents would deploy to at least 14 major airports starting Monday to help travelers get through security. Not to interrogate grandma. Not to set up a checkpoint from a dystopian movie. To keep the lines moving because Democrats sabotaged the people whose job it was to do that.
“Likewise, I look forward to moving ICE in on Monday, and have already told them to, ‘GET READY.’ NO MORE WAITING, NO MORE GAMES!” Trump posted on Truth Social.
Practical. Direct. The kind of executive action you take when the other side would rather watch airports collapse than give you a legislative win.
And Then Blumenthal Opened His Mouth
Enter Da Nang Dick, stage left, with the kind of unhinged fear-mongering that would get you banned from a neighborhood Facebook group.
“ICE agents at airports will only aggravate delays & lines—disrupting checks, interrogating travelers, dragging parents from children, detaining citizens, brutalizing families, shooting & even killing.”
Shooting and even killing. At the airport. Where people buy neck pillows and overpriced water bottles.
This isn’t policy disagreement. This is psychological warfare aimed directly at immigrant communities and nervous travelers. Blumenthal wants people terrified. He wants mothers clutching their children at the thought of walking through O’Hare. He wants chaos — because chaos is the only currency Democrats have left.
He wasn’t finished, either. He followed up by calling ICE officers “masked, unidentified agents” engaged in “brutal, lawless tactics.”
“Brutal, lawless tactics common in communities across the country by masked, unidentified agents, violating basic rights—no way to help TSA or travelers.”
These are federal law enforcement officers. They carry badges. They follow protocols. And they’re being deployed because Blumenthal’s own party defunded the agency that was supposed to handle airport security in the first place.
The Real Conspiracy
Here’s the play, and it’s not complicated. Democrats break the system. The President fixes it with available resources. Democrats then scream that the fix is fascism. Rinse. Repeat. It’s the same playbook they ran with the border, with the National Guard, with every federal response that didn’t come wrapped in a sensitivity seminar.
But telling Latino families that ICE will murder them at the airport? That’s a new low, even for a man who fabricated his own war record. Blumenthal isn’t warning anyone. He’s terrorizing them. He’s manufacturing nightmares and handing them out like campaign flyers to people who just want to catch a flight home.
Trump didn’t tiptoe around this mess — he sent in reinforcements. Democrats responded by telling the public those reinforcements would open fire in a crowded terminal.
And they wonder why nobody trusts them anymore.
